Associate Financial Analyst (temporary)

Position Summary

Pace, North America’s leading and largest independently owned brand storytelling agency, is looking for an Associate Financial Analyst to join our team on a temporary basis (approximately 3 to 4 months). The Associate Financial Analyst serves as the support for the Senior Financial Analysts and FP&A Manager and also serves as a finance liaison for designated account teams.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Review of Pace employee expenses and determine account classification
  • Review of vendor, contractor, and freelancer invoices and determine appropriate account classification
  • Collaborate with Senior Financial Analysts and FP&A Manager to prepare client invoices
  • Collaborate with Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A Manager, and CFO to open new project codes and input budgeted hours
  • Help set up monthly client worksheets for the FP&A team
  • Prepare month-end client summaries to be distributed to business leaders of accounts
  • Update monthly client forecast for new revenue streams, project delays, and updates to expenses for designated clients
  • Analyze and reconcile out-of-pocket expenses to pass-through revenue
  • Analyze monthly differences between forecasted and actual revenue and expenses for designated clients
  • Collaborate with client sales teams to determine revenue recognition and invoicing with designated clients
  • Analyze hours forecasted versus hours used at a client level
  • Prepare month-end journal entries for designated clients
  • Run and save client income statements in client folders
  • Analyze and reconcile designated client advanced deposits and deferred revenue
  • Analyze and prepare list of projects to be closed monthly
  • Analyze and forecast Service Centers and IT expenses
  • Calculate metrics for magazine based clients
  • Calculate project hours used versus fee on a client level monthly

Job Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s in Business or Accounting


  • 1 – 3 years of experience in industry
  • Experience in client billing and revenue recognition
  • Experience in an office setting


  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organized, professional and detail-oriented
