Associate Producer

Position Summary

The Associate Producer, under the direction of the Producer, will be responsible for setting up calls with account teams, production companies, and running the day-to-day production and maintenance of a variety of videos projects for Pace clients.  The Associate Producer will work directly with the freelance video producers, photographers, freelance production staff, the Pace digital and interactive team, account executives, art directors and editorial staff for a variety of clients.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Work with producers, account teams, art directors, PM’s and accounting on: Budgeting, Scheduling, Call Sheets, Invoicing, Talent contract and Releases
  • Assist the Producer to coordinate and organize all video and photo process going on Pace Communications
  • Provide frequent updates/status reports on videos and where they are in the production pipeline
  • Help manage paper work, travel and crew on multiple projects
  • The ability to edit in Final Cut Pro and mange work files and work to deliver videos produced on tight deadlines with quick turnaround
  • The ability to operate a camera when necessary and to be on set when necessary and willing to work in whatever capacity is required on the production
  • Operate within multiple CMS applications to publish the video, including YouTube, Brightcove and Kapost

Job Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or equivalent
Experience:  Minimum 1-3 years of prior experience in web and/or editorial production with a minimum of 3 years overall work experience

  • Working knowledge of video & photo production, post-production with Final Cut Pro and video encoding/transcoding, highly preferred
  • Must be able to work across PC and Mac operating platforms, including Microsoft Office, FTP programs, various web browsers
  • Adobe Creative Suite 4 or above experience required
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking skills
  • Proven project management and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the proven ability to work in small and large groups
  • Must have a positive attitude and be adaptable, and competent in a high-stress and high-pressure environment
  • Must be detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Must have a self-managed, proactive work style
  • Comfortable working within multiple CMS applications to execute web production tasks – copy updates, copy-editing, image manipulation, basic HTML coding preferred
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS is greatly preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in web-publishing platforms and video-publishing platforms preferred
  • Current knowledge on the digital competitive landscape as well as interest in the latest web trends preferred
  • Familiarity with SEO (in creating keywords, meta descriptions) preferred
